What to expect
Lovember is a 30-day writing challenge for romance writers, organised by H Noss Proofreads. It takes place every November.
During Lovember, you can set your own writing goals and pick and choose from a range of writing prompts.
You might choose to set a word count goal, a general writing goal, or a writing routine goal.
Check-ins are available on Instagram and Threads, using the hashtag #Lovember followed by the year: for example, #Lovember2025.
You can also download social media assets from Ko-fi for free.

The story behind #Lovember
In 2024, I started the #Lovember romance writing challenge to encourage myself and others to write more romantic fiction. I wanted to find a way to combine my love of writing prompts with my desire to support other writers.
A 30-day writing challenge seemed like the perfect answer.
I’ve been fortunate to share #Lovember with communities like the London Writers’ Salon and the Queer Neurodivergent Writers’ Network.
Every year, I plan a whole social media campaign for #Lovember to share writing prompts, affirmations, romance-focused writing tips, and more. You’ll find these on Instagram, Pinterest, Threads, and Bluesky by following me on your preferred platforms:
