#Lovember 2024 recap and celebration

Thank you to everyone who participated in #Lovember 2024! The first year of the romance writing challenge may have come to an end, but there’s much to talk about.

Let’s start with the event itself, before moving on to how I’m celebrating the success of #Lovember.

#Lovember 2024 recap

I’ve been thrilled to hear about how you’ve used the #Lovember writing prompts to write more. From poetry to writing groups, it’s been lovely to see how creative everyone has been.

Thank you to all of the support on social media, whether you’ve reposted the prompts, shared links online, or liked my posts.

Thank you also to the people who have spread news of #Lovember further. Two writing groups used the prompts to inspire writing exercises and helped spread the word! I’m so thankful to the organisers for highlighting my writing challenge, especially in its first year.

As I said in the first post, there’s no time limit to the prompts. Continue to use the 2024 prompts whenever and however you’d like! Happy writing.

Throughout 2025, I’ll be collecting and making more resources and blog posts for romance writers, so make sure to follow me for future content on Threads, Instagram, Facebook, and Bluesky:

You can also find #Lovember social media assets, prompts, and more on my Ko-fi, including:

  • Affirmations for Instagram stories
  • Check-in templates for Instagram stories
  • Meet the writer template for Instagram stories
  • Instagram story games like This or That
  • The #Lovember 2024 prompt grid and participation posts

Celebrating the first year of #Lovember

Once again, thank you to everyone who participated, and congratulations on setting some time aside to write! I know how difficult it can be to motivate yourself or to find inspiration when things are difficult. But even if you thought about writing, you’ve done something. For that, I’m proud of you.

To celebrate the effort and creativity everyone has put into #Lovember, I’ll be offering free feedback on query letters for romance writers across December.

When I put up a poll to discuss what kind of celebration people wanted, this was the favoured option.

To get your free, supportive query letter feedback, just email info@hnossproofreads.co.uk with the subject ‘Lovember’ (or similar) with your request and the query letter you’d like me to help with.

So if you’re in the query trenches with a romance novel, make sure to contact me in December. I’ll use my personal experience of querying, as well as the resources I’ve collected over the years, to give you suggestions on how to improve and celebrate what you’ve done well.

Will there be a #Lovember 2025?

It’s my hope that we’ll be back next year with #Lovember 2025, so keep an eye on social media for the announcement. In the meantime, I have a lot of other writing prompts to explore and spark your imagination.

If you’d like to give me any feedback or suggestions for future writing events, please use this form: Writing Event Feedback.
