Free feedback on agent query cover letters

In celebration of Transgender Awareness Month, I’m offering free feedback on agent query cover letters for trans and non-binary authors.

It’s important to make a great first impression on a literary agent or publisher.

To help, my feedback will include notes on grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting, as well as bespoke tips to help you submit to agents and publishers confidently. I want to give you the best possible chance of achieving your writing dreams.

Why? Because trans and non-binary people deserve to be represented more in fiction. We already come up against so many barriers, so by doing this every November I hope to make a difference by supporting as many people as possible.

How to get free feedback on your agent query cover letters

To make the most of this feedback, make sure to tell me about yourself, what else you’ve done in the writing world, and a little something about your book. You could include that:

• you’re part of a genre-specific book club
• your short stories have been published in a magazine
• you were shortlisted for a literary competition
• you have plans to submit your story to an award
• your previous successes in self-publishing

My emails will be open to cover letters all throughout November to any and all trans and non-binary writers. You don’t have to have edited your manuscription to take advantage of this offer either. Though remember it’s best to hold off on submitting your book until it’s drafted, edited, and as ready as possible.
