Why UK writers want to work with me
As a queer and non-binary writer myself, I’m dedicated to supporting the LGBTQ+ community. By offering Pride Month discount for my proofreading services, I’m able to lower the barriers for more UK writers of queer fiction to get published, at my own expense.
I want to support LGBTQ+ writers in the UK as much as possible. Whether you’re self-publishing a novel, entering competitions and submitting to magazines, or querying a literary agent, I want to proofread for you.
There’s no requirement to prove your identity to get this discount. Every year, I promote the discount while celebrating Pride Month, and celebrating the LGBTQ+ people within our community, out or not.

How it works
- Fill out the enquiry form below, telling me a little about you and your project.
- I’ll send you an email back to connect with you, ask some more questions, and request a sample of your work or a link to your website. The sample may be proofread for free if agreed on.
- Once you’ve agreed to a quote for the work, including a timeline of when work will begin and be returned, I’ll draw up an invoice for any deposit.
- Deposits must be paid before work can begin.
- You’ll then send your Word doc, PDF file, or website link to me.
- Your project will be thoroughly proofread before being sent back.
What you’ll get back
- For Word files, you’ll receive two files:
– one Word doc with Track Changes enabled
– one Word doc with all edits accepted. - For PDF files, you’ll receive two files:
– one PDF with comments of edits to be made
– one Word doc with any queries for you - For websites, you’ll receive one file:
– a Word doc with comments, screenshots, and notes for changes
