Supporting LGBTQ+ businesses

Providing free website proofreading for LGBTQ+ businesses is how I celebrate LGBT+ History Month UK. I offer this service every February as a way of supporting other LGBTQ+ businesses because we’re making history.

I also want to inspire others to make the most of LGBT+ History Month UK to be visible, show solidarity, and connect with others.

As a new business owner, it took time for me to find solidarity and connections within the business community. Through FSB’s LGBT+ online networking group, OutBritain, and LinkedIn, I’m proud to say I now have a flourishing network of LGBTQ+ business owners.

Which is exactly why LGBT+ History Month UK matters to me: it’s easy to forget how far we’ve come, and it’s also important to look at the present. This is just one way that I support LGBTQ+ business owners. But it serves many purposes: the service itself helps businesses, it’s an opportunity for me to connect with more people, and it provides more visibility to our businesses.

If I can inspire even one person to reach out to the community and find the support they need, I’ve made a difference.
